Immigration law is the sole focus of Attorney Jill Dalfior’s law practice. Defense against deportation and protecting family unity are two of Attorney Dalfior’s main goals. She specializes in helping out-of-status (”illegal”) immigrants obtain green cards and become U.S. citizens.
Attorney Dalfior has deep roots in the immigrant community. She speaks Portuguese and has a history of volunteering her services to organizations and churches who work with immigrants from all countries. Her formal volunteer activities occurred through Centro Bom Samaritano (Good Samaritan Center) in Framingham, Massachusetts; the Political Asylum/ Immigration Representation Project in Boston; and the Centro do Trabalhador Brasileiro (Brazilian Workers’ Center) in East Boston. As a student, Dalfior worked with the Boston College Immigration and Asylum Project in Newton, Massachusetts, to reunite a family four years after they had been separated by deportation.
Dalfior is a member of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts bars. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and currently serves as Events Chair of the New England Chapter of AILA. Attorney Dalfior earned her law degree from Boston College Law School and her Bachelor’s Degree from Bryn Mawr College.
